Our Work & Latest Projects
Give For Good
Through targeted, sustainable interventions, the Rotary Club of Lubowa transforms lives by enhancing maternal and child health, improving water and sanitation access, fostering environmental stewardship, and bolstering education and youth empowerment.
By leveraging Global Grants, strategic partnerships, and hands-on volunteerism, the club delivers high-impact projects from maternity ward construction to biomass briquette production embodying Rotary’s motto: “Service Above Self.”
Happy Shilling
Happy Shillings” is our micro‑giving initiative where every small contribution brings big smiles and transform lives. You should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You should not give if it makes you unhappy or if you feel forced to give.
Each shilling donated to our Rotary Club supports local service projects providing clean water, schools, medical camps and more while reminding us that even the smallest gift can make a community happier and stronger.
The Rotary Club of Lubowa (RC Lubowa) is a dynamic service organization based in Lubowa, Wakiso District, just south of Kampala, Uganda. As a chartered member of Rotary International District 9214, our club leads and supports sustainable community initiatives across Ugandan communities focusing on maternal & child health, water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH), education, economic development, disease prevention, environmental protection, and peacebuilding. Anchored in the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self,” we champion projects such as the Bunapongo maternity ward initiative, global grants fighting malaria in Mbale, WASH solar‑powered water solutions in Suam, major tree‑planting campaigns, and youth empowerment partnerships including Mviringo waste‑management projects and the Mukisa Disability Empowerment Farm. We meet weekly every Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Grace’s Restaurant in Lubowa, welcoming members, partners, and volunteers to join hands in meaningful fellowship and service. If you're looking to engage with a compassionate, action-driven Rotary club in Uganda, join us as we build healthier communities, empower youth, protect the environment, and foster sustainable impact one project at a time.
