The D9214 and D9213 Centennial Project dubbed, 'Plant Your Balance' is focused on sustaining the environment this year. RC Lubowa has continued to Plant their balance, both individually and as a Club. The Catholic Parish at Buyege, Kasanje requested the Club to replant trees that had been cut by the community in a bid to save the environment. At this activity, 5000 Trees were planted on the Catholic Parish land.

This is a Rotary District goal for the year that Clubs are embarking on this Rotary year.

Project Impact: How the project will help the community after the project ends

The Centennial Project is intended to sustain the environment and impact on the climatic changes. Reafforestation is an urgent need according to the Parish Priest who confirmed that the climate changes have negatively impacted on the livelihoods of the people in his community, being that they are subsistence farmers who depend on farming. This had been affected because of the long dry spells in the area.
